Best Food & Drink

1. Restaurante Cande

A must-visit for fine dining with live traditional

music. Caribbean flavors meet elegance.

2. Arepa de huevo

A street food essential. Fried corn dough with a whole egg inside. Crispy, filling, and unforgettable.

3. Coconut rice

Found at most restaurants, usually served with fresh fish and patacones. So simple, so good.

4. Limonada de Coco

A frothy, creamy coconut limeade. You’ll probably order it every day.

5. Posta Negra Cartagenera

This is a rich, slow-cooked beef dish marinated in a dark, sweet-and-savory sauce made with panela, spices, and garlic. It’s incredibly tender and usually served with coconut rice. It’s one of Cartagena’s most traditional Creole dishes.

6. Jugo de Corozo

A vibrant, deep red juice made from a small tart Caribbean fruit called corozo. It’s sweetened and served cold—super refreshing after a day in the sun and a unique coastal flavor you won’t find everywhere.

Day 1

Arrival & La Boquilla Vibes

Arrived and headed to La Boquilla, a quieter area by the beach. Enjoyed a peaceful afternoon with ocean views and local food. Perfect place to unwind and enjoy Cartagena’s coastal energy before heading into the bustle of the city.

Day 4  Breakfast & Castillo Grande Walk

Woke up in the Castillogrande area and had a beachfront breakfast. Took a long walk by the ocean, packed up, and said goodbye to this magical city. Even a short visit here fills you up with color, culture, and rhythm.

Day 2

Walled City, Getsemaní & Salsa Night

Spent the day wandering the Walled City—every street is a postcard. Colorful balconies, horse carriages, street musicians, and art everywhere. We also explored Getsemaní, Cartagena’s bohemian district filled with street art, cozy cafés, and music echoing from every corner. It’s the perfect spot for a photo walk and to grab a drink with live local music before heading out to dance. Ended the night with a salsa class and dancing at Café Havana. One of the best ways to meet locals and feel the heartbeat of Cartagena.

Day 3

Island Hopping: Rosario & Barú

Full-day boat tour to Isla del Rosario and Playa Blanca in Barú. White sand beaches, turquoise water, fresh seafood. Swam, relaxed, and enjoyed one of the most beautiful sides of Colombia’s coast.
