The story behind Sunset Passport — and the promise that every guide here comes from my own two feet (and my own camera).
Sunset Passport started from a simple love: sunny days, sunrises, and sunsets — and the feeling of chasing them across the world. The name carries my initials, and the idea is to travel following the light.
I travel solo, on a budget, and I've learned that you don't have to choose between affordable and comfortable. You can have both with a little planning — and that's exactly what I want to share.
I started traveling internationally by myself when I was 15 years old. My first trip was to the Dominican Republic with friends from school. A few months later, I traveled to Canada to visit my best friend after she moved there from Ecuador.
Since then, I have explored destinations across North America, South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Some of my favorite places are Cuenca, Rome, Verona and San Juan. The destinations that surprised me the most were Dubai and the Galápagos Islands.
Sunset Passport was born because friends and family were always asking me for travel advice. I wanted one place where I could save everything I learned and make it easier for others to travel with confidence.
My travel philosophy: Go without expectations. Travel without fear, but with knowledge. Be cautious, not nervous. One of the best ways to truly enjoy a destination is to learn from local guides.
